Medical Treatment for Acne Scars?
I have just a few acne scars there, and though i can live with them, i would really like to get rid of them. Is there any medication, such as an over-the-counter product that can remove acne scars, or even a certain cream or pill that is especaily made to rid acne scars. While Cocoa butter has proven to treat scars, there are other ways that are more costly to do it - like laser treatment.
Personally, whenever I break out and the acne starts going down, I moistutrize every night and then put on a thin layer of Vasaline which conditions the skin.
Even when I had a lot of break outs, I put vasaline on - because it treats cuts and infections (a pimple is really like a skin infection, so the vasaline makes the swelling go down). Just becarefull when you go to sleep that you dont get vasaline on your pillow...If you use it enough, your skin will stay conditioned and you won't break out as much (if your skin tends to dry out, it over produces oil, so make sure you stay moisturized even while your treating breakouts.)

I should know, I've been to the dermentologist so many times it should be illegal. I had to go through accutane....it worked wonders, but I still have the occasional mini-outbreak.
The only downside to using the gel is that it can make your skin dry. That can be easily fixed with moisturizer.

Completely getting rid of acne scars takes a long time. Getting rid of scars isn't very easy.
Squeezing or picking at acne can damage the skin tissue around the acne. This can lead to the scarring that is such a concern for many people.

FOR PIMPLES:

Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably less swollen. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.
Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies. Becareful it might make your skin dry. If your skin gets dry use a moisturizer lotion.
Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.
Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning. This might also make your skin dry.
Drink plenty of water.
Pimple Removal : (only do this on pimples that have formed a head)
Prepare for a small surgical pimple removing procedure. You'll need a small sewing needle, a bottle of alcohol, some gauze (or a small band-aid), and some warm water. Some people think you'll need to run a needle through a flame. This isn't Dr. Quinn Medicine woman. Rubbing alcohol will do.
Wash your face and hands before attempting to pop the pimple. Washing your face and hands ensures that all makeup, oils, germs and bacteria are no longer near the pimple you're about to burst. Wipe the pimple clean with an alcohol soaked gauze pad. It'll sting a little, but that's a good thing. The alcohol will kill most of the bacteria in and around the wound, helping you to avoid an infected pimple. If you wish, you can put a small, sterile bandaid on the area or cover it with an antibacterial concealer

What ive heard to do is apply acv(apple cider vinegar, u can buy it at ur grocery store for under 2 bucks) and mix it half and half with warm water. FOR PIMPLES:
Other than washing your face a lot : (I recommend Clearasil Ultra. There is a 3 step system and it works great!)
Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably less swollen. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.
Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies. Becareful it might make your skin dry. If your skin gets dry use a moisturizer lotion.
Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

Wash your face and hands before attempting to pop the pimple. Washing your face and hands ensures that all makeup, oils, germs and bacteria are no longer near the pimple you're about to burst. Also, dip a majority of the needle in the alcohol, and for safe measure apply some of that alcohol to your fingers and the pimple--dabbing with some gauze to dry the area.
Prick the white part of the pimple very lightly with the tip of your needle. Once you've done that, put two small squares of gauze on either side of the pimple and apply pressure with two fingers to ensure that the remaining puss is squeezed out of the pore, retaining pressure until clear liquid appears. When clear liquid or blood appears, you'll know the pimple is gone.
Wipe the pimple clean with an alcohol soaked gauze pad. It'll sting a little, but that's a good thing. The alcohol will kill most of the bacteria in and around the wound, helping you to avoid an infected pimple. If you wish, you can put a small, sterile bandaid on the area or cover it with an antibacterial concealer

Im a beauty therapist and working on many peoples skin over the years, Ive found that unfortunately acne scarring along with pigmentation is notoriously difficult to treat. Scars are best treated when they are pink or healing as a blood supply is still travelling to the skin cells, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the damaged skin. In this case a face oil, rich in essential fatty acids like argan oil, vitamin e or rose hip oil would be the best thing to help speed up the process of healing. Once the scar has totally healed the best thing you can do is keep up with good skin care to make the skin as smooth and healthy looking as possible. Do you apply honey to your face to get rid of acne scars?
no that wont work. thats an old wives tale. the closest thing you can get to these days is the laser treatments at the doctors office. also you can drink plenty of water and eat right so your skin will naturally look healthy. and moisturize :)oily skin
