I don't like these methods because the chemicals can really dry out your skin and you will have both acne AND flakey skin. I don't know whether expensive lazer peels are really effective as opposed to the time and expense required. You can also get prescription drugs for the acne, but I heard that it can affect your reproductive organs in the long run. There are so many acne medicines and beauty products in the market, but be aware, a majority of them are out to get your money and they do not work.

I don't think you should worry. I girl is going to like you for you. Scars, big ears, big nose, nose hair, butt hair...... all of those things are qualities in people, maybe not the most attractive things about people. If someone cares for you those things are the things you can laugh and love about each other. Don't worry, there are girls out there like that. I'm not one in a million sweetheart. It depends on the guy. Not to sound cheesy but if your a cool, interesting, funny person to be around girls will be more forgiving. I'm more likely to date a guy with acne scars than a guy who looks greasy and unkempt. If it really bothers you there always dermabrasion (remember posh spice?)

If you are gonna try topical treatments, start with the most mild product first before you try the stronger ones - dry flaky irritated skin is just as miserable as having a breakout!. You should also use an oil free moistureizer with spf 15+. The Neutragena line is a good place to start.

I have some acne scars on my back and I have been using a scar removal cream, which has helped, but it takes a while. It is waterproof, sweat proof, rain proof, eww proof, etc. It runs about $20 a pop and will last for a good while. It is good enough to cover multi-color tattooes.
The next product is called Derma Blend and does the same thing as Exuvience but it's a little more expensive ($25) and has a raunchy smell.
Both are excellent for covering tattooes, scars, marks -- and I forget what the condition is called when you have two separate skin tones, but a lot of people buy it to even out their skin tones. i had the same problem when i was a teenager, and i had to find ways to get rid of it myself.
you could try mederma, which is specifically made to put on scarring to help minimize it (not erase it). although, if you don't have a lot of money, it can be pretty pricey. you can get it at your local drug store: walgreens, wal-mart, riteaid, etc.
another option is cocoa butter. i wouldn't suggest using cocoa butter though if your face is oily, because it's a very thick and heavy which may cause break outs. however, if you have really dry skin, it can be used - just don't smear it all over your face or it may cause acne. i'd suggest just putting it on the spots.
lemon juice soaked on a cotton ball and applied to the scar can help, too.
just remember, there is no way of completely erasing a scar - just minimizing it.

Ginger
After cleaning your skin, cut a few slices of fresh ginger and apply to the affected area for 20 minutes. You'd better do this laying down, otherwise the ginger may fall off. I have acne scars...they aren't gaping holes or anything...but they bother me...I'm tired of having to wear makeup all the time and I'd like to clear them up. I've tried an acne scar peel but that didn't work too well.Anything to remove acne scars?
I have the same problem. I notice that scars/red marks fade with steady use of an exfoliant. I recommend Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Scrub/Mask; use it nightly. Over time, you'll notice softer, smoother skin as well as a reduction in marks. However, this is not a miracle cure, it will take some time and patience!!Anything to remove acne scars?
Try the followin tips i found for u .do not use chemicals or try laser on skin. Follow these instructions and do let me know if they worked on your skin. i'm sure they will!
1. Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies.
2. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne.
3. Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.
4. Place strawberry leaves on the acne, the alkalinity helps to reduce the swelling.
5. Extract juice of one lemon and mix with equal quantity of rose water. Apply this mixture on the face and let it stay for about half an hour. Wash the face with fresh water. About 15 days application helps cure acne, pimples and reduces blemishes and scars.
6. Another method is to massage the face with the skin of lemon before washing with lukewarm water.

24. Blend cucumber and make a paste. Apply this as a mask on your face and leave it for 1/2 hour and then rinse. This refreshes your skin and prevents acne.
25. Mix corn flour with egg white and apply on your face. Let is dry completely for 1/2 hour. Dip your hands in warm water and massage your face and wash off. This when repeated regularly gives you a smooth skin.
26. Mix sandalwood paste with rosewater and apply on the face. Rinse off after 30 minutes.
27. Essential oil face mask for acne: Use a mask base powder, such as fuller's earth or kaolin powder. Use distilled or filtered water to make a paste. Mix 1 heaped teaspoon of base powder to 3 drops of essential oil. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of the water in, to make a fluid yet balanced paste. Essential oils to add in the mask either separately or try smaller amounts together; cypress oil 1 drop, lemon oil 2 drops, sage oil 1 drop.
28. Mix the paste of tender neem leaves with turmeric and apply of affected area. An eastern approach to acne home remedies.
29. Grind some nutmeg with milk and apply on affected area. Pimples disappear like magic without leaving a mark.
30. Make a mixture of lime juice and rose water. Apply on face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
31. Make a paste by mixing 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever.
32. Rub fresh garlic on and around pimples. Pimples will disappear without a mark with regular applications.
33. Mix 1 tsps groundnut oil with 1 tspn fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and pimples .
34. Ground drumstick pods and leaves and mix mixed with fresh lime juice, and apply on pimples. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots.
35. First wash face and then dab acne with cotton balls soaked in vinegar.
36. Mix groundnut oil with an equal amtount of fresh lime juice and apply on face. leave for 10-15 minutes and wash. It may be applied daily to prevent formation of blackheads, acne and pimples.
37. Apply juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on swelling acne, pimples.
38. Apply fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for acne, pimples, blackheads, and cracked skin.
39. Apply ripe Tomatoes pulp on acne, pimples and kept upto 1 hour, then wash.
40. Make a paste of roasted %26amp; powdered pomgranate skin with fresh lime juice and apply over acne, boils, pimple, blackheads and whiteheads.
41. Apply grated potatoes as poultice to treat skin blemishes, wrinkles, boils, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads , etc.
42. Make a paste of ground radish seeds with water and apply on face to remove blackheads.
43. Apply a paste of ground seasame seeds with water as poultice for inflammation of the skin due to allergies, skin rashes, and pimples.
44. Large pores on facial skin can be treated with paste of sandalwood powder with masoor dal.
45. Use an oatmeal or almond mask throughly to cleanse your face. Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with enough rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin. Rub it on your skin with your fingertips, paying special attention the problem areas. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water. This is very good in getting rid of blackheads.

A solution made out of one and a half cups of hot water and half a tablespoon of boric powder is an ideal remedy for blackheads, Saturate a face napkin in this hot solution and press on to the skin, repeat twice. Extract blackheads carefully with a blackhead remover and sterilized cottonwool. Pat on an astrigent.

i prefer a bar and cream treatment.

Aloe Vera is a great natural healer for the skin. I'm not sure if it can tackle acne scars to any degree. But, I do know a combination of calamine, alcohol, and aloe has healed a large scar/hole in the skin until you no longer see it.
Try Bio-Oil, it is supposed to get rid of scars and age spots, and it is non greasy.
There are plenty of cases of people using Aloe Vera for acne but actually using the drinking gel rather than applying it to the face.....needs to be really pure aloe though......the best one is made by Forever Living Products......

depends on where you are, and the extent of treatment you need, and the specific type of laser they use.
I had laser treatment for rosacea, which cost about $300 a pop and needed to be redone every 6 months. I'd imagine it'd be similar for acne scarring but would probably be a one or two shot deal.

Ask your Dr about Retine-A, it's a little bit expensive, but the way it works is that when applied to skin, ( a tiny amount on the scar), it ''scrubs'' away the superficial layer of the skin (the scar), and reveals the clean skin under it.
Pretty much like when you go to the beach and get some sun tan and after a while a layer of your skin goes away. But with Retin-A it's only the scar that goes away not the whole face.
PS: if it's just your chin, your Dr could give you a free sample and it would be enough ! ( since the whole treatment takes 2 weeks max )

I have scarring from acne that is fairly prominent on my cheeks although it can be covered with makeup it is a nuisance and makes me somewhat self-conscious that people can see the scarring. You can get it at basically ANY drug store (ie. shoppers drug mart,zellers....ect)

I don't know they extent of your acne scarring, but I would check with a dermatologist! I know they have scar-reducing serums and creams on the market (Mederma for example). And definitely, KEEP YOUR HANDS OF THOSE PIMPLES! That makes everything worse!! You should also make sure you have a daily regimen for cleansing that you use. I started using Beauticontrol's All Clear Acne cleansing system and I have had WONDERFUL results. I tried everything for my acne but this product is amazing. Again, check with your dermatologist...they will know what is best for your skin!

Prevention is still the best policy. Consult your doctor for the best preventive care for your skin and, if you have acne already, for the best treatment to prevent scarring.

A store I really like is Sephora and the ladies are usually knowledgable and can help you find something that will help you out.

Cocoa butter is best on the body, often it can clog pores on acne-prone skin, and cause more breakouts. Go see a dermatologist and they can give you recommendations. I recommend Benzoyl Peroxide. I have used it myself and it works very well. You may have an adjustment period during which your skin may turn slightly red or peel where you have used it. This is normal and it should pass after a week or so. Benzoyl Peroxide is sold in creams, lotions and washes. I recommend a cream that is applied topically. I have had success with the Clean and Clear brand. You can always consult a dermotologist regarding your acne or remaining scars. YES as far as in a Salon, Glycolic Acid is probably the strongest exfoliation treament that will help wih scars. Exfoliation is key. Keep in mind depending on how bad the scars are it cant be guarranteed they will go away completely.
Otherwise go to a dermatologist to do Microdermabrasion or Facial Resurfacing(more money) which is more aggresive and effective.

If you don't like this there is a cream call Dr. Bells Pomade you can get this at wal-mart this is also done at night leave it throughout the night and rinse your face in the morning for about one or two weeks. well i have very very bad acne or i did it comes and goes but i have aolt of scars and what i do is clean my face with tooth paste it burns but works pleae just tri it and then mix neosporin and petrolim jelly and spread lightly over night and it will work in time the toth paste brings off dead skin and the neosporin scar solution and jelly works in the skin to make it blend
Go to your docter and ask her if she can give you something for them.
Just try washing your face 2-3 times by mild soap. never squeeze them or it will leave marks. Vitamin E is ess. Avoid oily foods and don't use cosmetics for a while

kroger and walmart has neosporin scar removal cream. you could try it. i like to skateboard and obviously i get into all kinds of shinnanigans and i hate having scars when its almost swimsuit season so its what i use.

I dont know any home remedies, But you should consider getting a chemical peel. But here are some answers for you;
1. Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes, then wash.
2. Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary to reduce the acne.
3. Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball, leave for half an hour and wash. Repeat for 15-20 days.
4. Rub the acne with garlic cloves several times a day.
5. Wash face with avocado paste mixed with water.
6. Bedouin meds: Eat a medium grated radish with every meal. Drink 2 cups of rosemary tea. Drink 3 glasses of water with squeezed lemon and honey.
7. Mix 1 tablespoon of dried or fresh yeast with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice; apply on face, wait until it gets hard (try not to move), peel or wash with warm water.
8. Clean your skin: soak a cotton ball in either lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and apply on face.
9. Mix 2-3 tea bags to some basil and cook in boiling water for 10-20 minutes. Then apply on the acne with a cotton ball.
10. Saturate lettuce leaves in water, use water to rinse face and acne.
11. Grind bay leaves and blanch in water, Cool and apply on the acne.
12. Boil water in a pan, add some apple cider vinegar. Cool, put a towel on your head and bend over the pan.
