i've had alot of problems with my acne scarring up. it got so bad. so i tried mud masks. they actually work really well. not only do they help fight acne, but they help heal the scars. i had them for about a year before i started using the masks %26amp; now they're gone.
my friend told me within a year it should go away, but im not so sure because i have almost the same problem as you. my scarring isnt as bad, but it is not fully gone.

those brown pigmentations or red spots will disappear with time. if not you can try using hydroquinone. but it is very drying and causes skin cancer as well. pitted scars will require dermabrasion and laser treatments. ask your dermatologist or plastic surgeon and discuss with them.
also, it's important to not let yourself get tanned.those dark spots that get left behind after a pimple is healed remains longer on tanned skin. This has got to do with the mechanism about melanin formation. in addition, exfoliate your face regularly to remove the dead skin cells so that your face can get rid of those 'dark spots cells' gradually and naturally.

Tea tree oil. It is a cure all... It's safe and doesn't hurt.. Cheap and can be gotten from Walgreens, drugstores..etc.

He can give you something stronger for your acne and he can give you something to minimize scarring. They even sell products over the counter that are for scarring. Drinking lots of water is good for the skins. Don't believe myths that what you eat and drink affects your skin. That isn't true. To begin, soak a washcloth with hot water. The hotter you can stand it, the better its effect will be. Apply this hot washcloth to the pimple; don't press too hard, but rather hold the washcloth against the pimple. The heat will serve to draw the pus inside the pimple upward, making it easier to remove. After you've applied heat for several minutes, gently dry the area. Now wrap each index finger in a clean tissue. Using gentle pressure, lightly squeeze the pimple. Beware: There's a fine line between squeezing gently enough to remove the pus, and hard enough to draw blood (which can lead to scarring). If nothing comes out of the pimple after gentle prodding, leave it alone; you can try the same routine later

All these treatments require you to avoid exposure to sunlight because a layer of your epidermis (outer-skin) is removed each time. Sounds like you have pitted acne scarring. These are hard to remove, but they can be, but it takes time. Try this product called the dermasponge. I used it to smooth out a scar on my chin when I had chicken pox as a teenager. It really does work. But you may need a couple of treatments, which is around 10 or 12 sponges.

Have you ever tried Pro-Active? My sister uses it and she swears by it, she was having really bad break outs and after starting it about 2 months ago, she hasn't seen a pimple on her face in a long time.
Personally, I can't use anything that is cream based, it tends to make me break out more, so what I tend to use is foaming face wash, something that is really light on the skin and washes away clean without leaving too much in the pores.
You can also try astringents, these tend to try out the face, which may be what helps your acne go away.
First off I would suggest using just plain white anti-bactieral bar soap, this will dry your face out a little bit but it's the best thing to try first. If it dries your face out too much you know that astringents are not for you either.

I use benzaclin topical gel (although its more like a cream) and it is awesome. You could try it.
Use antibacterial handsoap, because the salylical acid and alcohol, will clean out pores and dry it up a little. Get an astringent, to close your pores so dirt stays out! Then use and oil free moisturizer like neutrogena to help your dried out skin. Using these 3 things will make a big difference! If they don't, then I would recommend going to the dermatologist to get a pill, cause skin care can't help genetics. Remember, don't ever pick at it, or you will have tons of scars! ~Good Luck~

I've tried mederma before, however it hasn't helped me (could be different for you although). As an alternative I've used castor oil, grapeseed oil, and coconut oil for scars.

Egg has protein and zinc in it which can help with both the acne and the scars.
Mix the yolk with the egg whites or just use the yolk only. (Yolk is good for scars and egg whites are good for acne.) Apply it on your face and after 10-15 minutes, reapply and do that again as much as you want. Wash your face with water to get rid of most of the egg on your face, then wash your face with salycic acid (ex. neutrogena acne fading peel). Don't forget to put on moisturizer on your face, afterwards. =)

-third u can use systemic antibiotics like tetracyclin or doxi by the order of ur G.P or dermatologist....
-if non of them work or u have cystic acne with scar u have to use a drug calls Actane its full of Vit A , it has his own order and u just can have it by a dermatolog ...

If your acne is really bad, I suggest you see a dermatologist so that they can give you prescription creams/cleansers.
Oh, you can also try ProActiv or Murad (which is a less harsh acne treatment). Sephora sells Murad, and they have a starter kit which is cheaper so that you can try it out.
You can use lemon to help fade the scars. use a fresh lemon, squeeze some juice on a cotton ball. Apply where you have scars. You can leave it on overnight, but if you have sensitive skin rinse it off in 10 minutes. do twice a day, also you can do a honey mask every night. You warm some honey up, not to hot just warm. What type of toothpaste do you use to clear acne, and how do you get rid of scars?
i have scars from when i was a very young child, like 6 months. i have had the scars all my life, but i think its a hereditary thing. both my parents have scarring from acne too. is there anyway to treat the scars, because i have heard that the scarring will heal somewhat by itself, but i dont see any improvement at all since childhood. help? also, i know about the toothpaste thing, but what kind works best?

African black soap cleared my brother's chicken pox scars and the stretch marks on my thighs, so I know it will really help pimple scars. I use Colgate total on my pimples and it does dry them out. I don't get a lot of pimples, so I don't mind using a little bit of toothpaste. Colgate total has a clear color, so it's not very noticable.

Next thing on the recommend list is some cheap acne gels from the drug stores.

i use Mederma it 13.82 at Walmart and it heals the acne scars and pimples up quick for my pimples outbreaks i use ACneFree it kit like proactiv but its cheaper and works better and won't dry out your skin

Run hot water over your face or splash it on with your hands and then splash cold water on it The water opens your pores and rines out dirt, and cold water keeps your pores closed i had a pimple a few days ago i did that and its gettin smaller and smaller.

i have never tried this, but i was given these advice on blackheads:
-pour a little bit of white vinegar on a cotton and delicately rub the area where the blackheads are, then wash with cold water.
-get a bit of natural yogurt (no sugar or anything, plain yogur) and mix it with a smashed aspirin (not efervescent, but a normal one) and massage the area with the mixture.
bio oil for scars - women use it for stetch marks/scars.
for black heads try nose strips that you stick on and pull off tor remove them, may work.
For the scars, try a treatment of microdemabrasion. It only takes the top layer of skin and allows it to heal before the next treatment. Follow-up with a good skin care product to nurture and feed the cells. Blackheads, yuck Steam is great to open the poors on the face. Establish a good consistant (ie. 2-3 x's wk) pattern for great results. Follow up with a good cleanser and toner (to close the pours) and moisturize. Stay away from anything oily or greasy. Mostly do not use a product to dry your skin out this will only excrete more oils and your problem will be worse. Also use a scrub weekly in addition to your cleaning and you could use Biori strips on the nose once a week but not while your scrubing and steaming. Use on the off days. Good luck

for black heads try nose strips that you stick on and pull off tor remove them, may work.

i would recomend Bio oil it really does work with scaring, although it will not remove the scaring altogether and the effects of the reducing of the scaring will not appear for i week or two, this really is a good product and worth a try, or at least a look at the home page to read up on it and see some befor and after pics of how well it works.

I did for a while and while it made them less visible it kind of pushes them deeper in the skin, making it harder and more expensive for a dermatologist to remove. I still struggle with the problem but finally went to a dermatologist. Also some facial peel's you can egt over the counter but they dont work as good as something by a dermatologist would. I also bought neutrogena fight and fade acne gel.
All these things will take time to work, dont expect to see results over night. It takes patience and diligence.
