so i was wondering if anyone has tried anything that really workedWhat are some good ways to clear up skin.. like acne...or get rid of acne scars?
A.M.: Wash your face with antibacterial soap, moisturize, apply make-up like Neutrogena's foundation that has salicylic acid in it.
Lunch-time: Wash face, moisturize and re-apply make-up.
P.M. (right before bed): Use St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub, follow with a toner (try Clinique if you have really sensitive skin), apply acne medication. For scars (make sure they are completely healed), try Mederma for Kids. What are some good ways to clear up skin.. like acne...or get rid of acne scars?

I have to suggest that you try several different things, and faithfully to see what product will work best with your skin. Some products work better on different skin types then others.
Have you ever tried Pro-Active? My sister uses it and she swears by it, she was having really bad break outs and after starting it about 2 months ago, she hasn't seen a pimple on her face in a long time.
Personally, I can't use anything that is cream based, it tends to make me break out more, so what I tend to use is foaming face wash, something that is really light on the skin and washes away clean without leaving too much in the pores.
You can also try astringents, these tend to try out the face, which may be what helps your acne go away.
First off I would suggest using just plain white anti-bactieral bar soap, this will dry your face out a little bit but it's the best thing to try first. If it dries your face out too much you know that astringents are not for you either.
There are many types of skin, oily, dry, sensitive,
I would suggest just trying some different products out and see what works best on your skin.
Best Wishes!
you should try proativ.. i only used the cleanser and i never had a breakout at all....you should go on acne.org, look through there forums, there are so many different techniques on how to treat acne its not even funny, and last thing...ask your mom if your insurance covers prescriptions..if so you should go see a dermatologist.
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

i use clearisil ultra or how ever u spell it and it clears it all up really really fast!!!
always katie and good luck!!
If you havent done so yet, go to a dermatologist (skin doctor).
Oxy, clean and clear, differen gel, proactiv.... all of that is crap in my opinion. Of course my worst acne days are long over but i still get a little every now and then and for some people you just cant help it. I use benzaclin topical gel (although its more like a cream) and it is awesome. You could try it.
Use antibacterial handsoap, because the salylical acid and alcohol, will clean out pores and dry it up a little. Get an astringent, to close your pores so dirt stays out! Then use and oil free moisturizer like neutrogena to help your dried out skin. Using these 3 things will make a big difference! If they don't, then I would recommend going to the dermatologist to get a pill, cause skin care can't help genetics. Remember, don't ever pick at it, or you will have tons of scars! ~Good Luck~
go to a professional skinners thell pull off your skin in seconds
Use mouth wash it should work.
you can get rid of acne scars unless you get a microderm abrasion or a chemical peel...however, you can buy acne mark fading peels at your local drug store to help reduce the appearance of your scars.
also, maybe consider going to a dermatologist...they may give you antibiotics or creams that work better than something you can get over the counter.
